SET: 1 My Final Project was fun to make and I enjoyed it a lot. I once again had challenges drilling the holes that the earring hooks sat in. I also had trouble polishing the earrings completely and a little bit of patina would always stay on the earrings. I enjoyed making all the earrings because it made me better working with metal in the end of the semester, and now I feel like I could make any project that I could before even better. I think the sanding and shapes of the earrings and cutting turned out pretty well. I feel like I could have definitely done a better job taking all the patina off of the earrings.

Copper Ring Project

My Ring Project was fun to make, even though it did take a while to make. I had to make my ring size and make a design for what I wanted my ring to look like. I enjoyed soldering the ring together and making it. The sanding and cutting out of all the shapes and designs all turned out pretty good. I feel like I could have done better on the polishing and the soldering. I liked working on this project because I always wanted to make a ring in jewelry. Disclaimer: I do not have a picture of my ring because I smashed it.

Riveting Project

This project did not take that long to make because all I had to do was cut circles and attach a rivet in the drilled holes that I made. I had trouble drilling the holes for the rivet to go into the holes that I was to be drilling. I think I could have done better on the polishing and sanding once again. I feel like the cutting of the circles turned out good and the etching as well.

Pendant Project

My Pendant Project took a while to make. This project took a while to make because it took a long time to cut out and assemble the chain part of the project. It turned out better than I thought it should have in the end though. I had trouble filing and sanding the inside of my negative space on the bird. I think I could have assembled the chain better. Overall, this project takes a while but it pays off in the end.

Artist Inspired Etching Project

Click On Picture My Etching Project was probably my coolest looking project I made this semester. This keychain is a picture of an anime character named "Naruto". It mostly was pretty easy to make except when I was soldering the head band on, it wouldn't stay in one place when I needed it to be steady. I liked how my piece came out at the end and it felt good to finally finish it. I could have polished better because as you can see above and below the head band is a little red from not completely polishing correctly.
